The role is based within a NBA franchise in the Eastern Conference. The progressive franchise has an athlete-centered model which places high value on their medical and performance staff as it relates to player development and care.     As a new and exciting role within the NBA, the Head of Athlete Care will be responsible for managing, organising, coordinating, directing and supervising the Medical Services. He/ she will implement appropriate and effective work systems within the organisation.     This role includes the provision of medical services (both injury prevention, treatment and recuperation), coupled with developing a first-class sports medicine, science and performance department across both the Major and D-League teams.    The individual must demonstrate evidence of excellence in player care, departmental leadership, and developing and managing organizational processes.    Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s relevant experience.
