An ambitious, competitive and well-respected team in the Football League Championship are recruiting a full-timeHead of Athletic Performance.  Managing the performance team, and responsible for all physical preparation of the players, this is an exciting new role within the club for a progressive, forward thinking and results driven individual who aligns with the club’s focus to create a world-class high-performance training environment. Responsible for all the protocols, processes and strategies of athletic performance and sports science, the successful candidate will have an established professional and academic background in, and passion for athletic performance in elite athletes.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in working within and leading a multi-disciplinary team to maximise player availability, injury and illness prevention and athlete preparation for and recovery from training and competition. The position is full-time and requires working with existing coaches and staff to determine appropriate methods of implementing evidence-based frameworks to find the competitive edge in all areas of the team.  ​The role requires an open-minded, friendly, enthusiastic team player, with strong leadership and communication skills to relay and relate information clearly and enthusiastically to key internal stakeholders including players, coaches, football management, executive and other support staff.
