One of the most well respected teams in Spanish and European football is seeking a Head of Medical Services. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to lead the club forward to future success in La Liga. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising, coordinating, directing and supervising of the Medical Services department. He/ she will implement appropriate and effective work systems within the organisation. The successful candidate will standardise working systems and practices in the club from First Team to Academy, and ensure departmental adherence to medical good practices and correct duty of care. This role includes the provision of medical services (both injury prevention, treatment and recuperation), coupled with creating a first-class sports medicine, science and performance department. The role requires full commitment at every First Team training session with home and away match day responsibilities both on and off the pitch, with similar responsibilities to the Academy.  ​The role requires excellent medical practice skills, and an individual with a strong, resilient personality who is able to demonstrate evidence of excellence in both player care and departmental leadership. Fluent Spanish, in-depth knowledge of the Spanish medical system, culture of Spanish football and sports medicine within football are all necessary. Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s relevant experience.
