The successful candidate will have an established professional and academic background in, and passion for nutrition in elite athletes, with demonstrable experience in using nutrition science expertise in maximising player availability, injury and illness prevention and athlete preparation for and recovery from training and competition.
The position is part-time – two days a week – and requires working with existing coaches and performance support staff in determining appropriate methods of implementing the overall programme of nutrition service, including strategy planning, education programmes, individual athlete consultations and group sessions where required.
The role requires the ability to apply practically nutrition and supplementation research theory, and strong communication skills to relay and relate such information clearly and enthusiastically to key internal stakeholders including players, coaches and other support staff.
