An established, Western Conference-based NBA team is seeking a Vice President Athlete Science and Performance.
Heading up the Sports Medicine and Science Department, this role will be responsible for researching, implementing and developing athlete performance through their expertise and demonstrable experience in human performance-related science.
Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will bring an innovative approach, and have experience in research, and the practical application of such research within a professional sporting environment. A background in and understanding of professional basketball is highly preferable.
The individual will need an excellent framework of understanding around human performance, analytics and statistics; and the ability to embed a high performance culture, with emphasis on data management.
The Vice President Athlete Science and Performance will also have an outward-facing remit, speaking at conferences and delivering learning where necessary for the department. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with executive-level strategy and process management abilities.
Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s relevant experience.
